Product Description

3M 410M is a double-coated heavy/stiff paper​ PSA tape, nominal 0.15mm / about 5–6mil without liner, coated both sides with natural rubber (regional TDS lists 850 or 860 / rubber-resin) and wound with a 54# green-plaid densified kraft liner​ (~0.08mm). It is for splicing and core-starting of paper, film, foil and fabric, mounting rubber/photopolymer plates to print cylinders, attaching golf-club grips, temporary holding in milling, and light indoor nameplate/label/small-part fixing. The heavy paper gives dimensional stability and hand-tear; natural rubber gives high initial tack on many surfaces. It is an indoor/room-temperature, light-duty, die-cut/auto-dispenser tape—not for structural load, not waterproof, not long-term outdoor exposure.

Features

• Heavy paper double-coat natural rubber: 0.15mm paper carrier stiffer and more dimensionally stable than thin tissue (9448A), hand-tear vs PET film, thinner/no gap-fill vs foam tape.
• High initial tack, press-and-hold: 850/860 natural rubber grabs paper/foil/film/metal/some plastics instantly; better for indoor splice/plate/temp-fixturing than acrylic tissue that builds final strength slowly.
• 54# green-plaid kraft liner: ~0.08mm densified liner for clean die-cut, no edge curl, humidity-edge stability; easier front/back ID than plain white kraft or glassine.
• Hand-tear plus die-cut: field splicing/plate/temp jigs by hand; high-volume small parts on auto-dispensers; serves both bench and line.
• Splice/core-start oriented: papers, films, foils, fabrics splice and core-start are primary; start/end tabs and roll changes without slip, better than single-coat or office double-coat.
• Print-plate conformable: rubber/photopolymer plates to cylinders with uniform thin bond and easier plate removal; thinner than VHB/foam (no OD build), cleaner than spray adhesive.
• Solvent-free, light duty: solvent-free make; general industry/aircraft MRO aid, light fixing/temp hold/label rework more reversible than structural adhesive.
• Clear temperature boundary: international long 66°C/short 82°C; China page max 93°C/min -40°C; best 21–38°C, no initial apply below 10°C. Weaker long-heat/aging than acrylic double-coat but faster tack and lower cost.

Applications

• Splicing papers/films/foils/fabrics: press, slitter, rewinder core-start, roll-change splice and end-tab.
• Print plate mounting: flexo/letterpress rubber or photopolymer plates to cylinders; thin double bond, accurate register, easy plate removal.
• Labels and end tabs: core-start/end labels on roll stock, temporary storage labels, light indoor nameplates.
• Golf-club grips: grip-to-shaft wrap positioning; paper conforms, fast tack, minimal OD build.
• Milling/temporary fixturing: temporary hold during machining/assembly jigs; removable without drilling/welding.
• Light indoor mounting: office/display/packaging small parts, paper boards, film swatches, light wire clips, sample cards.
• Printing/packaging prototyping: carton register, hot-stamp/window samples, short-run plate and prototype splices instead of spray adhesive.
• MRO/general-industry aid: aircraft-maintenance and general industrial temporary ID, light harness hold, parts-sorting tack (not primary insulation, not structural).
