3M Scotch Performance Masking Tape 244 is a professional paint-masking tape using a Japanese washi/flat paper backing with synthetic fibers​ and a single-coat acrylic PSA, linerless. It is thinner and flatter-edged than common crepe masking paper, for automotive refinish, industrial spray, hardware/plastic/electronic enclosure line work, and marine/outdoor UV masking. Applications

• Marine/outdoor UV masking: hulls, deck fittings, outdoor metal/glass near-shore work; sun exposure without residue or bleed.
