3M 2090 ScotchBlue Original is a blue crepe-paper painter’s tape with medium-tack acrylic PSA, single-coated and linerless. It is made for multi-surface paint masking on smooth or lightly textured walls, baseboards, trim, woodwork, glass, tile and metal; it gives sharp paint lines and clean removal for up to 14 days indoors/outdoors without residue or surface damage. 3M positions it as a general painting/renovation tape, not for high-bake automotive refinish, powder coat or repeated oven curing.

Applications

• Wall repaint color separation: ceiling/wall two-tone lines, top edge of baseboard, beam/column borders for sharp removal.
• Trim, doors and windows: mask door casings, window frames, wood baseboard and cabinet edges while rolling walls.
• Glass and tile: interior glass dividing lines, tile edge for grout lines, kitchen/bath repaint around windows and ceramic.
• Lightly textured plaster/cornice: lightly sanded walls, aged emulsion, decorative cornice inside corners with conformable seal.
• Short-term exterior refurbish: exterior doors/windows, balcony metal handrails, outdoor wood stain/paint within 14-day removal window.
• Temporary marking/light holding: mark work zones, mask templates, hold protective paper or small parts without surface damage.
