Product Description

3M™ UHMW PE Film Tape 5425 with bond high surface energy materials, which is an ultra-high molecular weight, polyethylene backing coated with a special acrylic adhesive for tough impact wear or sliding applications.

Features

Translucent, abrasion resistant backing helps protect surfaces from wear
Low coefficient of friction for “slip plane” effect between surfaces
Rubber adhesive provides good initial tack for immediate bonding to material surface
Can help reduce squeaks, rattles and other noises that occur with movement

Application

Abrasion protection for rubber fuel cells.
Gaskets exposed to many corrosive chemicals.
Spiral wrap wire harness to resist hydraulic fluids.
Dissimilar metal separation to help prevent wear and chemical corrosion.
Excellent for wear surfaces where transparency is needed.
Guide rails and chutes requiring a more durable, solvent resistant slide surface.
